Viva Las Vegas: Day 1

Tyson's grandpa turned 90 in May so the family threw a huge birthday bash for him in Saint George. Since we were going to make the drive that far, we decided to take a couple extra days and drive two more hours to see Tyson's two brothers in Vegas. We left Wednesday night (May 11), hoping that Aiden would sleep in the car seat (no such luck -- boo) and got to Vegas at about 12:30 their time. We slept in the next morning then spent some time with Stacia and adorable Taygen. Then we went over to Casey and Maren's house for lunch and swimming. It was SO NICE to be in the warm weather and get some sun. We did feel pretty self conscious about our pasty white skin though compared to the nice brown Casey and Maren! At one point Casey and Tyson were lying on the pool floaties and seriously looked like they were different races. Casey said "Wow Tys I feel really tan next to you!" Then Maren chimed in and said "Yeah I think the mayonnaise bottle feels pretty tan next to Tyson too!" It was pretty dang hilarious!

Maren took a turn entertaining Aiden while I finished my lunch. He loved playing with her!

Aiden and Ewok spending some quality time together...maybe Aiden needs a kitty of his own. A funny story from the trip was that Aiden kept trying to get into the kitty food and we'd point and tell him "no no - this is for the kitties" so for the next three days, every time one of the cats would start eating, Aiden would walk over and tell the kitty "no no" while pointing at the food in it's face. Haha!

Aunt Stacia's shoes were SO pretty so of course Aiden HAD to wear them for a while!

"HELP! I'm trapped in kitty jail!"

Sweet baby Taygen. We sure wish we lived closer so he and Aiden could be friends. How fun would that be!?

Aiden thinks it's cool to act like a baby...he's a little too big though.
