Utah State Fair

Ever since we got married, Tyson has been wanting to go to the Utah State Fair to see just how much better it is than the Burley one. (The answer is WAY better and WAY bigger!) We've either been out of town, or didn't know when it was, or we had some other conflict, so this was our first year to actually make it. Since we had Aiden, it made most things a lot more fun and exciting, but since we were dumb and forgot the stroller, we didn't last super long before getting tired.
Several people gave us weird looks when they saw us letting Aiden walk right up to the animals. He's a pro though from all his trips to the farm and they didn't scare him at all. He was so excited that there were so many of each animal!
We decided that we couldn't leave the fair without splurging and trying at least one odd deep fried treat. Tyson picked the deep fried bacon stuffed twinkie. Hmm...
Aiden loved it. Tyson loved it. I loved all but the bacon part because I didn't like the random salty flavor.
After leaving and realizing that we were so hungry from smelling all the delicious but EXPENSIVE fair food, we found a McDonald's for a much less expensive dinner. Aiden nearly had his eye poked out while we were there though thanks to their poor poor design. They had a divider thing between some of the seats that looked kinda like a # but with more than just the four lines. It stuck out farther than the chairs did but was thin enough strips of wood that Aiden walked right into it without even noticing. Tyson saw at the last second what was about to happen and swatted Aiden's head to the side in just enough time to save him from a serious eye injury. He had a mark right next to his eye for at least a week! I think it was a guardian angel yanking Tyson's arm forward to quickly. Aiden cried HARD and it was obvious that it hurt really bad because there was not a single fake tear coming out of his hurt eye. Luckily, when he saw that we got ice-cream and french fries it helped calm him down a bit.
Aiden is probably saying "NO PICTURES!!" since this was during his anti-paparazzi phase.
Teaching Aiden the goodness of fries and ice-cream. The mark on his eye is showing just a little bit.  It was actually much worse and got quite swollen. :(
