While the weather was warm clear back in August, we finally got together with my awesome (2nd) cousin Amy and her little boy Tommy. I say finally because Aiden and Tommy were born only two months apart and they had never played together yet. I had been wanting to get them together for the last two years. Amy lives in North Salt Lake though so that makes things a little difficult. Well we finally got our act together and Amy made the trek down to come play with us. It was SO fun. Amy and I used to have sleepovers all the time and stay up talking and laughing like crazy. I love her to death but once we got all grown up and busy we never got to see each other anymore. It was great to sit on the grass and catch up while the cute boys enjoyed the sandbox and got to know each other for the first time.
After the boys were sufficiently sandy, we headed over to the Thanksgiving Point farm. Tommy had never been there and since Aiden is a seasoned pro, he was more than happy to show Tommy how it's done. However, Tommy was a bit more fascinated in the animals than Aiden since Aiden is basically best friends with all of them and it's old news. Therefore, I spent a lot of the time chasing Aiden to bring him back to Tommy. What's new? It was so fun to listen to the differences between Aiden and Tommy's languages when they would say the animal names and sounds and to see them interact with both the animals and each other.

| Aiden taught Tommy how to be brave and take corn right up to the cow's mouth. |

| HANDSOME man Tommy! |
 |
| Thanks to Amy being the awesome photographer I am actually in a farm picture WITH Aiden. |
 |
| Aiden was more than happy to show Tommy that Miss Kitty's Dance Hall is way more exciting when you use the windows instead of the doors. Obviously... |

| Amy, Tommy, and soon to be born John who is now two months old! (I'm so behind on blogging!!) |
After our great trip to the farm we couldn't pass up the opportunity to walk up the street and get ice-cream cones. Apparently this was also a first for Tommy so he was absolutely in heaven!
After the ice-cream cones were devoured, Aiden showed Tommy some other fun games like hit the sign with a stick, run around the tree, and "I see you!" It was pure entertainment watching them play together.
My favorite part of the run around the tree game was when they'd be chasing like that but one of them would change directions so they'd nearly bump into each other and laugh so hard they'd almost stop breathing, then they'd both run away and almost bump again on the other side of the tree. They did it over and over and all four of us were laughing so hard after a while. It was so so cute!! |
| When we were ready to go we told the boys to hug and they instantly did this just to make sure our hearts were melted all the way! |
It was such a fun day to catch up and play and we still owe Amy and Tommy a trip up to their neck of the woods so we can play with little John too!
Man these pictures are awesome. (Tommy looks like a baby!!!) Since it's still as warm as it was in August (sheesh!) we should do it all again soon! Ice cream and all. :)
