"So I'm sure you've noticed that Alabama is going to be playing Texas for the national championship tomorrow and you might have wondered how a huge game like that might affect missionary work...we got a call on Monday from the Zone leaders and they said, "Hey, we've got some good news for you. You might have heard about this church here in Alabama--it's huge, and they call it the Church of the Rolling Tide. Well, this Thursday they're having a huge revival and, although it's happening in California, it's going to be broadcast all throughout the country...and the mission is invited!"
So the elders got permission to watch the game with some members. Nathan said that during even the regular season games Alabama all but closes down so during the national championship there wouldn't be anyone willing to open their doors to missionaries. Because Nathan got to watch the game we thought it would be fun to do something "with" him so we all hung out around the tv and cheered for Alabama! Aiden even cheered every time they got a touchdown!
